Look, I’m not a mass-produced gullible guy, comfortably satisfied by being solo like a spoil sport. I’d bet you probably never heard me blog about great dating and relationships. There’s a reason for that.
Idleness is an avoidable human characteristic and completely missing from my pedigree. But, There’s no point avoiding it, I had no choice but to put the breaks on a special cohabitation and I felt a great deal for but truly carried on to nowhere. I guess one could go on record saying its been years since I was dating. I don’t hold the great expectations in relationships that came naturally before.
Living free and single isn’t bad. This much is certain, I refuse to lounge about, undisturbed, devowering Battlestar Galactica on my big screen. The biggest reason for this bout of incidental dating boredom? My coworkers are stiffs, and everyone else is boring.
My former college buddy, Brandon, who doesn’t know the meaning of dating apathy, informed me he’s now shooting from the same blind as I am. He linked me to the Great Expectations Dating service. Not usually my thing, but I enjoy meeting attractive ladies with similar interests. Surprise, I got real about my dating life and joined.
The point is, you wouldn’t feel down due to not having plans when ya haven’t called anyone. Just like our old basketball coach Terry Jennings carried on with a smile, “When the ladies don’t bite, bite them first, Jeff.”
The man didn’t know my name. Still, the man was right without being self-righteous. He was good humored. This crazy series of Dallas singles events I just went to might have overloaded his brain.
Through great expectations I spent time with a few insightful and appealing women that catch my eye. I truthfully had a blast with a few indisputably remarkable singles. The evening ended with a promising exchange of numbers, in addition to the fact that I grew some social networking acquaintances for work. Very cool.
Get out there. Can’t score if you sit the bench. Don’t sell yourself short, believe in your own great expectations for for your own good.
