Disney’s stageshow edition of the beloved classic ‘The Lion King’ is now being performed in London’s West End. The stage show fuses singing, dancing along with gorgeous scenery and costumes to generate a stunning production. Viewers will delight in listening to familiar songs from the film, as well as quite a few brand-new songs written especially for the musical rendition. After everything considered, the Lion King Musical offers wonderful entertainment for all age groups. In the early 1990s, it appeared like the industry of theatre was crashing and burning. Together with the prices of producing a musical theatre stageshow increased sharply, few people were ready to shell out for costly theatre tickets when they may just as conveniently visit the movie theatre for a portion of the price. Fortunately, Disney rescued the struggling Broadway scene, first with a stage version of Beauty in the Beast, and then a production of the Lion King. Today, this flashy modern musical can be seen at a number of venues, including the Lyceum Theatre, based in London’s West End. Here are five reasons why you must attend this stunning show. 1. Appealing to All Age ranges Evidently, the Lion King is a success with kids. But the rhythmic music and sophisticated story makes it an enjoyable production for grownups also. Young adults will like reliving memories of the first time they saw the movie as young children. 2. Award Winner The Lion King has gotten a number of known awards, including eleven Drama Desk awards and six Tony awards. In addition, it was nominated for another five Tony awards. Any show that is the receiver of this amount of awards is clearly worth visiting. 3. Brand-new Songs Everyone savors the songs from the movie adaptation of the Lion King. A lot of the favourites features from the film are incorporated that you can sing along to, such as ‘Be Prepared,’ ‘Circle of Life,’ ‘I Just Can’t Wait To Be King,’ and ‘Hakuna Matata,’ are included in the West End production. But there are also several brand new songs that were made for the musical rendition. These brand new songs include ‘Endless Night,’ ‘Shadowland,’ and ‘One By One.’ 4. Stunning Costumes One might wonder how a musical show of the Lion King is able to portray animals like giraffes and zebras while using human beings as actors. This feat was completed along with the help of several excellent costume designers. It is interesting to see the costumes, which are both precisely designed and basic. The incredible thing about these costumes is that they manage to express human characteristics while keeping crucial animalistic elements. This anthropomorphic balance between animal and human helps keep the story believable. 5. Unique Scenery There a number of complicated scenes in the Lion King that might not work without the use of advanced scenery and props. One such scene is the stampede, during which wildebeast props on rollers create an effective feeling of danger with the animals racing towards you giving the illusion of depth. Together with great music, lovely costumes and unique scenery, the Lion King musical is one of the most entertaining shows in decades. A must see for adults and children alike!
