One of the best ways to grow any business is by constantly presenting new and different offers to your existing customer base and prospects. However, most companies make the mistake of presenting the same, boring offers again and again instead of spicing them up with a little bit of creativity. While most customers would get tired of hearing about the same offer multiple times, there is a way to present these same offers again and again but in a way that captures their attention and attracts a great deal of interest and desire.

The way to take your old, stale, and boring offers and spice them up is to tie them into an upcoming holiday or event. You see, we as consumers love a sale or special promotion. It’s especially attractive if it’s tied to or based on a particular event.

For example, on the day after Thanksgiving everyone and their dog gets up before the crack of dawn to go shopping. Why? Because businesses have figured out that if they create special offers and promotions based around Christmas shopping then people will respond in droves.

Another great example of a business using a holiday to present an offer could be a New Year’s Eve special offered by many hotels. The special could include a nice dinner, champagne toast at midnight, a room for the night, and breakfast in the morning.

Here’s an example of a current event that could be used to present offers. The Super Bowl(TM) is coming up in roughly 3 weeks and we all know what a big a deal as this one game is, even if your team isn’t in it. This is an ideal event to base a special package or offer around. Think of all the people that throw or attend Super Bowl parties, even if their team’s not in the game.

To take advantage of this upcoming event, put together a mailing or flyer that offers a package of services that reference this big game. Create a package of all your lawn maintenance services and give it a headline like, ‘Make Your Lawn Look Just as Pristine as The Field at the Super Bowl(TM).’ Or you could create a package, give it a catchy name like the ‘{Your Name} Lawn Care’s Super Bowl(TM) XL Special’, and then charge $40 for the entire thing. (The ‘XL’ means 40, so play on that price in your offer!)

If you happen to have a team that’s in the playoffs (go Panthers!!), you could play on that as well. I would venture to say a good majority of people in your area are going to be fans of the local team, so play on this allegiance and loyalty in your offer. Use a little creativity and think about your customers, your target market, and what they really want, come up with something that’s different from the standard ‘offers’ you usually present your prospects and customers.

Another key thing to do is to create some urgency by putting a deadline in the offer. You’ll want to pick an end date that corresponds to the particular holiday or event you’ve chosen as it will reinforce the offer in your prospect’s mind. With the Super Bowl(TM) example I shared, you would want to let them know the offer’s only good until immediately following the big game. Once the game’s over, so is your offer. Doing this will create a sense of urgency with the promotion and will to get them to act on your special offer RIGHT NOW!

Finally, don’t just settle for a ‘one shot mailing’. Create a campaign that consists of two or three pieces at the very least. The more campaign pieces you mail or distribute, the more effective your promotion will be and the more new business you’ll receive. In the follow-up mailings, be sure to reference the previous mailings and build on the ’story’ you started with the first one. I guarantee that none of your competitors are doing this and it will definitely set you apart from the rest of them in the minds of your customers and prospects.

Don’t be afraid to use this technique again and again as there are constantly holidays and other special days or events that can serve as the backdrop for these types of offers. I mentioned the Super Bowl(TM), but there’s also President’s Day, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, the 4th of July, someone’s birthday, a local festival, and on and on and on. You get the idea.

All it really takes is a little creativity and planning and you’ll soon have a powerful system for creating cash flow surges whenever you need it by using these event or holiday based packages.

There are many things to consider when setting up your own server. We wouln’t encourage a novice for the job. Seek help from web professionals if you have any queries. Here are some web hosting factors to consider when setting up your personal server:

- A server license is needed and they are not cheap

- Virus, bugs and spam attacks

- 24-hour maintenance and support

Your website doesn’t sleep but you do need your sleep! Who is going to take care of your website that is hosted in your personal computer while you are sleeping? Getting 24 hour up- time and support is necessary for your website; especially if it is a business website! The main advantage Internet Service Providers have over personal servers is: having web professional maintenance crew working 24/7 to ensure that web hosting is running smooth for websites.

Many people will think setting up server hosting is cheaper than getting a web hosting package. Buying hosting equipment is not cheap for an individual and just like any other computer equipment, it becomes outdated after a while. Server companies spend hundreds of thousands on equipment and keeping up with technology. They buy in bulk, hence having bulk savings. Hence, web hosting packages are competitive and affordable.

If you are genuinely interested in setting up your own server, do it out of interest’s sake. Otherwise, you will be financially better off getting hosting packages off bulk- buying server companies.

This has long been the cultural timeline that people were born with. It goes on from one generation to the next. But the question is, is it still true up to this day? Does work really generates wealth? Is hard working really worth the effort just to become a millionaire?

After some careful considerations of different aspects, most people contend that working hard is not really proportionate to gaining wealth. There are instances wherein some people work day in and day out, and yet, they do not obtain the amount of wealth that would make them live as a millionaire.

What’s even worse, when they retire, most of the “cultural” promises that they have long been born with do not really provide the actual benefits that they claim to have.

So what would you do? You don’t have to end up losing everything or wishing that you did not pass all those horrible algebra’s and trigonometry’s just to get a life worth living.

What people do not know is that they should not depend on the things that society has learned to deal with over and over again. They should know that life is what you make it. This means that whatever results is based on the effort that they have exerted. So, if they are not making any money, they have to analyze what is wrong with their strategy.

Take for example the nature of online marketing. Most people are so amazed with the fact that because the Internet is an innovative way of earning money, they thought that it would be a “get rich quick” scheme. What they fail to realize is that earning money online is not just a click away.

Like any businesses, earning money online also entails the systematic approach of achieving online success. Obtaining the income that you wish to earn online does not just happen in a snap, not even a year because it does not work that way.

To become an Inte4rnet millionaire, you have to incorporate the right stuff, dogged determination, and a couple of years or so just to get the business going and on a stable status.

Like a house, becoming an internet millionaire entails a “brick by brick” process.

It is understandable that most people would like to be a millionaire and they want to do it quick. But in reality, it is really not just possible because the rule of thumb is that everything starts from the basic. There is no single thing that blooms and grows without having to start from its origin.

The reason behind this rule is that people should learn along the process. They have to analyze the situation and find the most feasible way to earn money and be successful. With all these things, people acquire experience, and from these experiences, a person becomes an expert. And expertise is the main key to get you to the top.

Moreover, in order to reach success, people must have goals. These goals are the ones that drive people to become an Internet millionaire. Goals will give you the right path to success.

Conversely, like any road, there are always humps and bumps. Normally, drivers would take another road. Same thing goes with earning millions online. There are times that your road to becoming an Internet millionaire is bumpy, with too many trials and obstacles. But what is important is that they keep on going, striving hard to reach their goal.

How to do it? Here’s how:

1. Start from the basic.

Try to incorporate everything you need into becoming an Internet millionaire. Use all the possible devices and programs that will generate greater income for you.

2. Work you way to the top.

Do not wait for the money to grow on trees. Strive harder and reach that goal. Be persistent and never give up on trials.

3. Make a reasonable goal.

For example, if you are planning to make a $200,000 in a year, why don’t you start by making $200 in a month? This is because visualizing $200,000 even if it will be for a year is too much to bear. The key is to make your goal more achievable.

After which, try to increase your goals. After a month, make it $300, then $400 until you are able to reach the amount that you want to achieve in a year.

The bottom line is that by continuously making a mark on history and live your day with persistence and determination; you will never know but someday you will just wake up and realize that you have already become an Internet millionaire.

The harness forced me rigid in my seat. The pressure across my chest momentarily took my breath away. Fixed in position the only things I could move were my hands and feet. My heart raced at least twice its normal rate as we inched towards the starting point.

Anxiety began to swell inside me; I could feel my stomach turning. A deep fear within was urging me to escape and free myself from this unknown. As apprehension hit the zenith, loud rock music started blasting from two speakers concealed either side of the headrest.

White smoke normally reserved for nightclubs began to fill the arena. The only illumination was from disco lights perched above and beside the track, the only clue as to where you were heading.

As the mechanism took up the slack and prepared to slingshot us into next week, my backside began to twitch as I realised we had gone past the point of no return. The coaster was now primed and nothing was going to stop it.

Then it happened. Without warning we accelerated with such ferocity your cheeks were sucked through your skull. It was impossible to raise your head to see where you were going. Not that it made any difference, smoke was everywhere and visibility was zero.

It seemed to be over in seconds. It was the best ride I had ever been on. I wanted to go straight back on but there was the whole of Disneyland Paris to explore and time was money. But I would return to the Aerosmith rollercoaster.

Perhaps what surprised me most about Disneyland Resort Paris was how much there was for adults. I went with the expectation of a child oriented theme park with little time for grownups. But Disney Village is superb, full of bars and restaurants, shops and even a cinema. The only downside is the sheer volume of tourists. Even out of season you can expect to queue endlessly for food and drink.

The Cheyenne hotel is a throwback to the days of the American Wild West. Suitably decorated, it offered all the taste and flavour of cowboys and indians. The saloon bar feels altogether authentic; country and western singers provide the entertainment as you down another bottle of beer.

If you can avoid the likes of Goofy and Mickey Mouse, you may just be able to suspend reality long enough to believe yourself in the world of Wyatt Earp.

Night Vision helps humans see in what we call the dark. Humans see in only a small part of the light spectrum. Light is made of waves of energy and the longer the wave is, the less energy it has. The shorter a wave is, the more energy it contains which means that the visible light we see has a range of energy levels. Red is the lowest. Violet has the highest energy. The colour spectrum increases in energy as you go from red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and the highest violet. Below the visible red waves, we can see are even lower energy waves called infrared. We can also call these heat waves. The infrared part of the light spectrum can be divided into three types. Near infrared is closest to visible red light. Mid infrared waves are longer and farther away from visible red light. Thermal infrared has longer wavelengths still. Violet is the highest visible wavelength, which humans can see. Above the violet coloured waves, we see in the visible light spectrum, are the ultra violet waves, which has higher energy waves than visible violet light.

Night vision devices can help you see a great distance away on a cloudy night when there is no moon light and it works in two ways.

One way uses light that that we cannot see toward the infrared end of the light spectrum. This light is amplified to the point where we can see images.

A lens focuses visible and infrared light into a special electronic tube that intensifies a dim image into a strong one. The few photons that exist in the dim light are converted to electrons. The electrons, pushed by a strong voltage within the tube, collide with the sides of the slightly bent tube to create thousands of electrons. Electrons hitting other electrons in the micro channels of the vacuum tube generate thousands more electrons than there were to start with. There is a screen covered with phosphers at the end of the tube. When the electrons hit the phosphers they become excited. A greenish light is given off in the image of what there is to be seen.

Another way night vision is achieved is by using the heat objects give off. This is how thermal imaging works. The light given off by warm objects is focused by a specially designed lens. This infrared light hits an electronic detector device, which creates a detailed pattern of the differences in temperature. This pattern is called a thermogram. The information held in the thermogram is transformed into electrical impulses. A little computer creates usable data from the electrical impulses and the data is processed more and sent to a display where it is seen as various colours, depending on how much infrared light an object was giving off. There must be a temperature difference between objects and their surroundings to detect images. This image can be viewed through a scope like in a pair of binoculars or on a monitor screen.

Current statistics show that more and more people prefer to exercise on their treadmills at home rather than go out in inclement weather. Treadmill exercise is also the fastest growing mode of exercise, as well as the most profitable business pertaining to sports goods.

Home treadmills are designed a little differently than those used in gyms and clubs. The difference is in the sturdiness of the flywheel. Since gym treadmills are for public usage, their flywheels are stronger and more adapting to different speeds. Even their conveyor belts are made of more durable materials.

There are many reasons why home treadmills are preferred over treadmills at the gym or the club. For one thing, exercising on a treadmill at home saves commuting to the gym or the club. Then there is no question of shirking exercise, citing bad weather as the reason. Hence, people can exercise more and stay fitter. Exercising outside is also rife with dangers such as muggers and barking stray dogs. And most importantly, treadmill usage at home provides the convenience of being able to exercise at any desirable time.

Treadmills are expensive. Good electric operated treadmills would cost upwards of $1,500 and may even go up to $6,000. Due to this reason, treadmills are bought mainly by affluent people. The trend is changing slowly as more and more people realize that getting a treadmill is not a luxury but an investment for health. Treadmills are also more popular among women. In fact, three-fourths of all home users of treadmills are women.

Space is another factor to be considered before setting up a treadmill at home. Treadmills generally occupy five feet by two feet of floor area. There must be empty space kept around the treadmill so that the user doesn’t get much injured in case of a fall. The room where the treadmill is installed must be well-ventilated and airy because treadmill exercise can tend to be very sweaty.

Then there is the problem of electric supply. Most home appliances work on DC, but treadmills could work on either. It is better to opt for a DC-operated treadmill where home usage is concerned. Needless to say, toddlers must be kept as far away from a treadmill as possible, especially when it is in operation. The conveyor belt has a nasty drag-down effect and it may be catastrophic to the child if its clothing is caught in the belt. For protection against such mishaps, home treadmills are provided with special keys. Treadmills can be operated by adults only after inserting the keys in the slots provided. These keys have other benefits too. In electric treadmills, these keys can even remember the exact speed at which the exercise was going on. Hence, on inserting the key, the exercise can continue from the precise point where it was stopped.

Home treadmills are a boon to people with heart ailments. Treadmills can accelerate the circulation of blood within the heart and also make heart muscles stronger. Heart patients can exercise on their home treadmills to keep their heart in check. There are specialized treadmills which display the rate of heartbeat of a person. Polar CIC is a company that manufactures chest straps that work in conjunction via a wireless technology with treadmills to display the rate of heartbeat. Likewise, treadmills at home are a good thing for women during and after pregnancy.

Treadmills provides detailed information about treadmills, treadmill reviews, best treadmills, used treadmills and more. Treadmills is the sister site of Big Muscles.

There are specific Christian work from home businesses around,
with more opening up every day, although some would argue that
any business can be a Christian one. Before you make any
decisions though, ask yourself a few questions such as:

  • What are my talents and skills?
  • Is my goal to have
a new full-time business or to add to my existing salary?

  • How will having a Christian work from home business affect
    my family?
  • Am I looking to help others through my business?

  • What quality of life do I really want?
  • What’s necessary
to achieve that quality of life?

These questions are just to get you thinking about what your
true purpose is in pursuing Christian work at home
opportunities. Without an idea of what your goal really is, you
can’t achieve it.

You especially need to consider your own special skills and
abilities. For instance, if you love kids and are good with
them, you might consider starting a Christian daycare center for
them in your home.

Focusing on what your talents and skills are will keep you from
going into any Christian work from home businesses that you’re
truly not interested in or good at, and help you choose what you
will be successful at doing.

Maybe you love to write. There are many opportunities for
Christian work from home businesses in the desktop publishing
area. You can produce programs, brochures, tracts, church
histories, and directories for churches in your area. You can
also go bigger with this once you get started and have a few
successes under your belt.

You could also consider writing inspirational literature,
especially e-books. The demand for all sorts of Christian
literature is out there, just waiting for you!

There are also many Christian work at home opportunities in MLMs
(Multi-level Marketing). Some of them center around selling
products like cleaners, vitamins, and family-oriented books.
With this sort of Christian work at home business, you also
usually get income from people you bring into such programs.

These types of Christian work from home opportunities can also
be done predominately online. Just do your research to be
certain that the company you’re selling goods or services for
isn’t a scam of some kind. You can check with BBB (Better
Business Bureau) or the SBA (Small Business Association) for
information on companies you are considering signing up with.

Christian work from home businesses you might also want to
consider is assembling Christian-related items in your home.
These items range from putting together crosses to making
jewelry. Some companies pay you outright for your work, others
charge a small fee and allow you to sell the goods yourself.

If you love to work with your hands and be creative, this is a
wonderful Christian home business opportunity for you to look
into. Again, be certain that the company you choose is a
legitimate one.

Now that you have Christian work at home ideas, what do you do
next? Consider these things:

  • Do I have the space I need
    for an office?
  • Is there any special equipment I need to
    purchase?
  • Are there any licenses required?
  • Should I
    obtain any additional insurance?
  • Do I need to hire people to
    help me?
  • What sort of accounting system will I use?
  • How
    do I plan for taxes?

Once you have the answers to these questions, you need to make a
business plan that maps out the steps you need to take to get
your Christian work at home business up and running.

The more planning you do in the beginning, the better off you’ll
be. You’ll be more efficient and won’t waste time or money this
way. And those things are key to any successful home business.

“Your good name and your reputation are EVERYTHING! … Protect them at all costs!” my father used to say to me when I was a lad.

Even at a young age, I knew there was something important in what my dad was trying to tell me. It was not hard to understand that if Billy Smith or Bobby Jones did something wrong and wound up in the paper they’d enjoy certain anonymity due mostly to the commonality of their names. My family name, however, was quite rare and my father never let me forget the fact that if my name appeared in the paper, 1) everyone would know who I was and 2) my misdeeds would bring dishonor not only to me but especially my family.

Not surprisingly, this lesson had a positive impact on my life both back then at the age when boys are more likely to get themselves into trouble and still today as I navigate my way through more contemporary challenges having accepted the fact [albeit reluctantly] I am now middle-aged.

Sadly, too many in today’s society were not given the mentoring lessons I was as evidenced by an almost epidemic number unhappy souls who may have been led astray by things like the 1960’s mantra, “Tell it like it is!” and/or the 1980’s, “If it feels good, Just do it!”

Now before anybody gets the impression I think I’m a candidate for beatification, I’ll admit I’m far from it. One need only look at my amply stocked skeleton closet for proof. The point I would try to emphasize, though, is, without the training I received from my parents, I could easily have taken a very different, perhaps more destructive path in life than the one I chose.

I guess what I’m trying to say is, “Thanks, mom and dad, for the lessons you taught me.”

That said, would it be too ‘middle-aged’ of me to point out the youth today [here it comes] don’t appear to be getting the same life-skills training that possibly we enjoyed in our developmental years? You may think me a little paranoid but as the paranoid guy once said, “Just because I’m paranoid does not mean I’m not being followed!”

Before I get off onto a rant, my issue in this article is not with the young people so much as it is in pointing out the potential ramifications a lack of fundamental training can have in the future when for example,we look at a generation like mine that, at least in my opinion, received more social training than today’s up-and-comers.

What I would rather focus on is the positive aspects of following an accepted benevolent social protocol, which, among other things, finds bedrock in the importance of one’s reputation and good name.

Never was this lesson made more clear to me than a few years ago at a Christmas gala in Montreal where some 2000+ bigwigs in the oil business had gathered. My father, a vice president of shipping at the time, had spent all his working life in the oil business – a business that at the best of times had it’s fair share of shall we say, ‘liberal ethics-interpreters’. Suffice to say it was a bit of a cutthroat industry.

Throughout the night I was introduced to some of the biggest and most influential names in the oil business who had dealings with my father and his company.

One by one and without exception each executive said pretty much the same thing to me: “Your old man, here, is the most honest man I know! He’s the only guy in the whole damn industry who if he gives you his word or shakes your hand, you can take it to the bank cause it’s as good as an ironclad contract!”

I was somewhat surprised but very proud, especially because I knew the smallest deals my dad did were in the seven-figure category.

Sometimes we learn from our parents not by what they say but rather by watching what they do.

More often, however, we learn most by studying history. For example;

During China’s War of the Three Kingdoms (A.D. 207-265) the great General Chuko Liang, sent his vast army to a distant camp while he rested in a small town with only a hundred soldiers or so to guard him. Soon word came that his enemy Sima Yi, along with over 150,000 troops were approaching the city. With only a handful of men of his own, General Liang’s fate seemed imminent.

The two Generals had battled many times before and knew each other well. Both were great warriors but Liang was known as the ‘Sleeping Dragon’ and had a reputation for being unpredictable and extremely cunning. He had won many battles by luring enemies into traps.

With word of the approaching army and ridiculously outnumbered, Liang ordered his men to quickly take down all flags, remove their uniforms and hide. He then put on a Taoist robe and sat atop the most visible part of the city wall where he lit incense, strummed his lute and began to chant – and wait.

Soon Sima accompanied by his 150,000 soldiers stood at the city gates where they instantly recognized the man on the wall.

Despite the fact his troops were itching to invade what appeared to be an unguarded city, Sima Yi, hesitated, held them back, and studied Liang on the wall. Then … he ordered an immediate and speedy retreat!

At the mercy of his enemy, facing certain death, General Liang had only one weapon at his disposal – his name and reputation.

The Bottom Line:

The lesson here, like so many rules for success and prosperity, lies in the fundamental understanding and wisdom no doubt passed down by my grandfather to my father who in turn passed on to me, “Your good name and your reputation are EVERYTHING! … Protect them at all costs!”

And as history’s General Chuko Liang so adroitly demonstrated – protect your name and reputation and just maybe one day they’ll return the favor!

Environmentalists say GM Seeds are bad for the environment, dangerous to the security of the world’s food supply and will cause millions to starve. Yet when one really looks at the debate none of those statements can be made in absolute truth. Why is it bad for the environment? GM crops were said to be bad by some environmentalists, but Monsanto has figured out a way to terminate the seeds, this terminates them from spreading to other strains of DNA, RNA of natural or wild crops. Thus helps the environment. It is a relatively brilliant “Green Technology” We get to have our cake and grow it too.

It is not disastrous for the world food security at all on further scrutiny of this argument, it may very well end up saving us and feeding the world until we understand the full impact of our playing God with seeds. If they terminate we also terminate any adverse side effects or Genetically Modified mistakes. This way you do not end up with resistant Mosquitoes, Modified insects or losses of Natures own best-evolved plants, crops and foods. So it is a great interim step to make sure that we have enough food to eat while figuring out how science can fix the future problems we face, which look bleak but we are a smart creature these humans. We do not know all we need to know yet. By Monsanto and others making more money they can feed the world and make people healthier, happier and safer from diseases; all of which problems tend to increase during long drought periods as known by history of plagues, viruses and diseases.

Meanwhile, I wish to point out that this is a stepping stone to the future not an absolute end game. One critic in brazil of Monsanto’s terminator GM seeds; Ms. Ribierio ought to be out and about telling people to stop reproducing us into oblivion, because if people would do less baby making and more thinking none of these problems would even be eventful enough to cause a stir of controversy for us to be arguing over “means” when people are dying around the world of AIDS, Cancer, Malaria, Dysentery and a host of other things due to over taxation of our current Bio-system. The mortality rate is 5:1 for children in Africa right now and it is not getting better fast enough, some say it is getting worse as children are being born with AIDS, not much future there? Think about it, lets use the technology we have now to move mankind forward.
